City of Salem – Board of Assessors

Regular Meeting Thursday  May 15, 2008

The Meeting opened at 6:00 P.M. with Chairman Donald T. Bates and assessors Richard Jagolta and Damian Johnson present.   

Pursuant to the procedure outlined in Massachusetts General Law Chapter 41, Section 25A, the board moved to appoint Paul Tierney an Assistant Assessor, subject to a background check and review of his references by the Human Resources Department.  His initial date of employment will be determined by HR.

The board also moved to have Assistant Assessor Joseph Murphy fill the position of Assistant Director of Assessing which was vacated by Deborah Jackson.

The Meeting Adjourned at 6:40 P.M.
