Youth Week
Come Celebrate the City of Salem's First Youth Week

The City’s Youth Commission has collaborated with several organizations, local businesses and organizations in sponsoring the City of Salem’s first Youth Week celebration.  Youth Week will begin this Sunday, April 20th through Friday, April 25th.

To kick off the week, kids may come down to the Collins Middle School and make their own sundaes for free from 12:00 – 2:00 pm.  The event is entitled Sundaes on Sunday and is being sponsored by the Plummer Home for Boys and Puleo’s Dairy, who is donating all the ice cream.  Throughout Youth Week, there will be various activities for students of all ages ranging from Kids Boot Camp, Open Swim, Guitar Hero and Rock Band competitions, and game tournaments at the Boys & Girls Club, to name just a few.  Other highlights include a 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament and a movie night at CinemaSalem in which kids and their parents will receive ½ off their movie ticket when they mention Youth Week.  Movie Night will be on Wednesday, April 23rd and will apply to any movie starting between 4:45 through 7:30 pm.  For movie listings at this time, please visit www.cinemasalem.com.

Various local businesses and vendors will be offering discounts to the City’s young shoppers and learners.  Participating businesses include Cornerstone Books, Salemdipity, Salem Witch Museum, Spellbound Tours, The Trolley depot and Wicked Goodz.
