Lock Box Program
New Lock Box Program

The Community Impact Unit, in conjunction with Home Depot and Master Lock, is offering a portable lock box program to qualified Salem residents.  This program provides first responders a way to gain entry into the home of a participating resident, to expedite access during a medical or other emergency.  The program also protects the participants property from being damaged in cases where forced entry would otherwise be necessary.  

To qualify for participation, you must be a Salem senior with a medical condition, a disabled resident or a current participant in the "R U OK" program.  In addition, program participants must require frequent emergency medical service responseand reside in a single or a multi-family dwelling.  

To become a participant, residents can download, review and complete the forms below and return them to the Community Impact Unit, Salem Police Department, 95 Margin Street, Salem, MA 01970.  Forms may also be obtained at the Council on Aging or at the Police Department.
