Accomplishments are highlighted by a $3.5 million budget gap reduction, a total reorganization of City government, milions of dollars in grants for public safety and planning improvements, the implementation of a new city website and over 50 new board and committee appointees, to name a few. |

Included in the FY08 accomplishments are the initiation of the City's first Capital Improvement Plan and 5-Year Financial Forecast, waterfront and harbor improvements, creation of the Community Impact Unit within the Police Department, creation of a quarterly newsletter about City news and the reinvorgoration of Destination Salem, to name just a few. |
