A Regular Meeting of the City Council  held in the Council Chamber on Thursday,

April 8, 2010 at 7:00 P.M., for the purpose of transacting any and all business.  Notice of
this meeting was posted on April 2, 2010 at 9:27 A.M.

Mayor’s appt. of Thomas Watkins to serve as the City of Salem’s Purchasing Agent with a term to expire on February 1, 2012

Mayor’s reappt. of the following to serve as Constables with the following terms:

                
        Scott Kugel, Sr., 77 Barstow St., Salem         Term to expire:  March 15, 2011
        Frank Salvo, 24 Riverview Ave., Danvers Term to expire:  March 11, 2013
        
        
COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE MAYOR

Appr. of $15,000.00 from “Capital Outlay – Renovations & Repairs” to be expended for repair of three (3) poles at Palmer Cove Baseball Field.

        
Transfer of $5,500.00 from “Treasurer – Short Term Debt” to ”Treasurer – Credit Card Fees”

Accept donation of $6,000.00 from G.E. Good Neighbor Fund to fund the Essex County Summer Camp Program.


Accept donation of an ambulance from Action Ambulance Company for the Police Department.

ORDER for approval for submittal of application for Federal Assistance of HUD for Community Development Block Grant funds.
