The Salem Historical Commission reviews applications for work being done on properties in Salem's four local historic districts and maintains an inventory of historic resources.  The Historical Commission meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month at 7:00 P.M. (changed from 7:30 starting on 10/3/12).  Deadlines for Applications for Certificates of Appropriateness or Certificates of Hardship are due 16 days before any meeting.
