Old Town Hall Long Term Lease Interview
Old Town Hall Long Term Lease Interview
May 14 SRA meeting, 6:15 PM
120 Washington Street, 3rd floor

A Request for Proposals for the Old Town Hall Lease (RFP J-30) was released on February 28, 2008 and responses were due on April 24, 2008. The RFP was advertised widely including postings on art and cultural websites and was mailed directly to North Shore cultural groups. One proposal was submitted by the Gordon College Institute for Public History. The Institute for Public History was created by Gordon College in 2007 by joining the museum studies program and History Alive!, the group that has performed Cry Innocent in Old Town Hall since 1992.

Representatives from Gordon College will be interviewed by the Salem Redevelopment Authority on May 14 at 6:15 PM. The SRA will make a recommendation to City Council regarding this proposal. The City Council will ultimately vote to accept the proposal and execute a lease with specific terms and conditions.

The Gordon College proposal can be downloaded at: http://salem.com/Pages/SalemMA_DPCD/studies
