National Grid Construction Project – Bridge Street
National Grid will be undertaking a civil construction project on Bridge Street, from Washington Street to Webb Street, as part of their continuing effort to improve the reliability and availability of electric supply to our community. This project installs a new duct bank which will support its electric infrastructure and will allow for additional capacity for future load growth. National Grid’s contractor, Midway Construction, plans on starting construction this Monday, November 16, 2009 and will work Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30pm.
A National Grid representative will be onsite full time to address any issues. The construction crews will notify residences prior to the start of construction in front of their homes so arrangements may be made in advance.
When necessary, no parking signs will be posted in advance of construction and no parking shall remain in effect until construction is completed for the day. Police details will be present to assist residents through the work zone and to facilitate traffic management.
Weather permitting, the work should be completed in January, 2010.
We appreciate your patience through the construction period.
