The Massachusetts Office of the Inspector General is a state watchdog agency. The Office has a broad mandate to prevent and detect fraud, waste, and abuse in government. The Office conducts operational and management reviews, analyzes legislation and regulations, provides technical assistance, and conducts civil and criminal investigations.
