Backyard Beaches
Salem, home to museums, attractions, shops and restaurants, also offers you a day at the beach. Come experience Salem by the seashore. There are seven beaches for you to choose from, all located in close proximity to the Salem Willows, Winter Island Marine Park, and Pioneer Village. Salem beaches have been recognized by the Natural Resources Defense Council as one of the only five designated beach "buddies" in the United States for our extra efforts to test and improve the water quality of our beaches.
