1. Each barrel or bag must be no larger than 35 gallons and weigh no more than 50lbs per household or business unit. Click here for an example.
3. Place trash at curb by 7 am day of pickup, not before 6pm the night preceding collection. If you are using the 35 gallon bags, they may be placed curbside between 6 - 7am.
4. 35 gallon trash bags may be used in place of barrels, with a three bag limit.
5. No tires, flourescent bulbs, tv’s, computers, propane tanks, paints, batteries, used motor oil, chemicals or oils. Save for Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day. Salem hosts a HHWD the first Saturday in October. Salem residents can also partcipate in Beverly's HHWD the 4th Saturday in April. Call the Board of Health at 978-741-1800 for additional information.
6. You may put out mattresses, box springs, furnishing (couch/chairs); however, Northside Carting will only pick up one bulk item per week with your regular pick up.
7. We do not do clean outs. If you move or clean out the house, it is your
responsibility to dispose of large amounts of debris. There are many options available. Please check the Yellow Pages for local listings under "Trash Removal".
