Winter Blahs? Come to a FREE book swap on Saturday, February 28!
 
Salem- On February 28, join your neighbors for a Free Book Swap! Salem Recycles, the City of Salem Recycling Committee, is sponsoring a free book swap at St. Peter’s Church, 24 St. Peter’s Street on Saturday, February 28th from 9am to 12pm. Bring down your old books, CDs, DVDs and videos and take home a whole new selection for your family and friends!
 
Book Swap Day specifics:
 
When:                    Saturday February 28, 2009
                             9am until Noon
Where:                  St. Peter’s Church-24 St. Peter’s St., Salem
Why:                     To promote re-use and recycling of books and other media                                     items.
Drop-Off:              St. Peter’s Church : Friday, February 27, 5pm-6:30pm
                                                           Saturday February 28, 8am-11am
 
Bring all your excess books, CDs, DVDs and videos.  Items will be loosely categorized to help you in your hunt for free entertainment to chase away the winter blues.  All ‘unswapped’ items will be reused or recycled.
 
This is the latest of several events that the Recycling Committee has participated in, including Salem's Living Green and Renewable Energy Fair, the Carlton School's Earth Day Fair, Shredding Day, the Haunted Happenings Parade and outreach efforts for residents and businesses throughout the City.
