  • Salem Bicycle Share Proposal – The City is exploring options to upgrade the existing Salem Spins program to a more automated, bike-share style model similar to Boston’s Hubway bike share system. The Mayor’s office and Jeff Elie have been exploring options and have already received a proposal from Zagster for their turn-key system. That proposal will be shared with the Committee for discussion.

 

  • Preliminary Conceptual Designs for Pedestrian and Bicycle Improvements Downtown – Toole Design Group have been working with the City to make improvements to Washington St, North Street/Summer St, and Norman St. These would be primarily accomplished with striping changes and the City is looking to a federal funding source to make it possible this summer.

 

  • Project Tracking Form – Go over a new project tracking form for the Committee so we can keep track of projects. Form will be shared with Committee members online and also available online to update/comment on.

 

  • Bicycle Master Plan Update – Discuss what firm to use for update of Bike Circulation Master Plan and what the Committee might want to see in the update.
