  1. Public Comment

 

  1. Project Tracking Form – Review project tracking form and review additions and comments on tracking form tasks.

 

 

  1. New/Old Business 

 

  • Update on MassWorks Grant – City successfully received $3.5 million to do Complete Streets and road improvements on Bridge St. by the Blubber Hollow development. Improvements include new sidewalks, a protected bike lane, new pavement, and new sidewalks. Discussion of the Bike Committee’s involvement moving forward.

 

 

  • Salem Bicycle Share RFP Update – The City has selected Zagster as the vendor to implement a new full service bike share in Salem. The funding has to be approved by City Council and will be discussed at the December 8th City Council meeting.

 

  • Bicycle Master Plan Update Discussion – CIP Engineering money was allocated to update the Master Plan. Discussion of Request for Proposals content for the Master Plan consultant will take place. The current draft of the RFP is under review by the Planning and Engineering Departments.

 

 

  • MassDOT Route 107 Corridor Study – A draft final report for the Route 107 Corridor Study has been made available to the public and the City of Salem has submitted comments on the recommendations portion in Chapter 6. Stantec, the City’s on-call engineering firm, the City Engineer, the Planning Department, and Bike Committee have all weighed in on the recommendations and MassDOT has received the comments. Further discussion about next steps will take place.
