Call Meeting to Order
Roll Call:
1. Public Comment
• FY17 Community Preservation Plan – Request for Comment/Input
o At this meeting, your CPC member representative will provide an update on current CPA projects.
2. New/Old Business
• Salem Bicycle Share Proposal – The City is exploring options to upgrade the existing Salem Spins program to a more automated, bike-share style model similar to Boston’s Hubway bike share system. The City has received two proposals and is currently in the process of evaluating and scoring the proposals.
• Route 107 Corridor Study Public Meeting Discussion – MassDOT held a public input session on the work completed so far for the Route 107 Corridor Study currently taking place that incorporates bicycle infrastructure, pedestrian, and traffic improvements to Highland Avenue. Joseph O’Neill and Eric Papetti attended the meeting on behalf of the SBAC and as residents of Salem so they will provide an update to the Committee.
• Bicycle Master Plan Update Discussion – CIP Engineering money was allocated to update the Master Plan. Discussion of bringing on a consultant and holding a public meeting for public input.
• Project Tracking Form – Go over a new project tracking form for the Committee so we can keep track of projects. Form will be shared with Committee members online and also available online to update/comment on.
