Forest Woodlands Wild Edibles and Medicinals Walk with Iris Weaver
At the Forest River Conservation Area

July 24, 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm

This special walk will take us through forested wetlands to see what wonderful wild edibles and medicinals are available in our area. Plants include cattails, shag bark hickory, and weeds you didn't know had any uses! You will also learn how to avoid some common poisonous plants. While we won't be able to harvest the plants, you will have a chance to see what you can forage and use in other areas, or perhaps in your back yard!

This walk is FREE and is being sponsored by the Salem Conservation Commission.

We will meet at the trailhead at the Salem State University South Campus parking lot at the end of Harrison Road off of Loring Ave. Parking is free during the event.

PREREGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Please e-mail info@irisweaver or call Iris Weaver at 617-773-5809 to register. If you have any questions, or will be running late, please call Iris Weaver at 617-773-5809.
