Saturday, November 14: COASTSWEEP
Volunteers are wanted for beach cleanups sponsored by Salem Sound Coastwatch. These are COASTSWEEP cleanups; everything picked up will be recorded! Each fall volunteers throughout the world collect thousands of tons of trash from beaches, marshes, riverbanks and the seafloor. Everything picked up is recorded and the data is used to find solutions for keeping trash from polluting the ocean. Man made trash harms fish, birds, and other sea life.
The Saturday, November 14 COASTSWEEP will take place at Furlong Park in Salem. Meet at 9am at the park.
Gloves and bags will be provided. RSVP is requested.
