Bridge & Back 10K
8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
This 10K race starts at Charter Street onto Front Street and proceeds to Washington Street to Bridge Street into Beverly and returns on Sergeant James Ayube Memorial Drive to Bridge Street to St. Peters Street and left on Brown Street to Washington Square to Hawthorne Boulevard to Charter Street to Front Street. There will be intermittent traffic stoppages along the route and Charter & Front Streets will be closed at approximately 7:45 a.m. and re-open at approximately 10:00 a.m. Expect some traffic delays, so please plan your travel accordingly.

Witches Cup Bike Race
3:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
The Witches Cup bike race circles the Salem Common. All roads around the Common will be closed at 3:30 p.m. Route 1A from Winter Street to Essex Street will be closed and all Washington Square streets will be closed to traffic around the Salem Common from 3:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Motorists should seek alternate routes during this time. Residents will be allowed to access their homes during this time from the end of your street which does not abut the Common.
Also, please note there will be no parking adjacent to the Common on both sides of the street beginning at 3:00 p.m. Please remove your vehicles from this area, so you will not be ticketed and towed. Expect traffic traffic delays throughout the city during this race.

Derby Street Mile
7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
The Derby Street Mile will begin at Fort Avenue by Winter Island Road and continue down Fort Avenue to Derby Street, ending at Derby Wharf. There will be intermittent traffic stoppages along the route. Expect some delays in the event area. Residents will be allowed to access their homes during this time from the end of your street which does not abut Derby Street.

Hope For My City Parade
Noon – 1:00 p.m.
This parade will step off at noon time from the corner of Congress Street and Leavitt Street continue down Congress Street, taking a left onto Harbor Street, a right onto Lafayette Street, a left onto New Derby Street, a right onto Washington Street, a right onto Church Street and proceed down Brown Street to the Salem Common. There will be no street closures for this event, rolling roadblocks will be used along the route. You should expect some traffic delays along the parade route, so please schedule our travel accordingly.

Salem Jazz & Soul Festival – Salem Willows
Noon – 8:00 p.m.
ATTENDEE PARKING ADVISORY: Parking at the Willows will be extremely limited. Resident Only Parking zones will be strictly enforced. The Salem Police Department will be ticketing and towing illegally parked cars. Attendees are urged to park their vehicles in the parking area at Shetland Park on Congress Street. The Salem Trolley will be running shuttles from Noon to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
