CEMETERY COMMISSION
MINUTES - October 15, 2008


A Scheduled Meeting of the Cemetery Commission was held at 120 Washington Street, 3rd Floor, in the small conference room on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at 6:30 P.M., for the purpose of transacting any and all business. ~Notice of this meeting was posted on October 1, 2008.

Present during the meeting were board members Elaine Milo, Phillip Burke and Joanne Mizioch, Director of Public Services Richard N. Rennard, Jr., and Cemetery Superintendant Ronald A. Malionek.

Status Reports

  • Greenhouse - The enclosure phase is now complete.  Project is now moving on to the electrical and painting phases.  
  • Front Gate - Hinge repaired and is now is full working order.
Motions
 
  • Motion was passed to increase cemetery fees as indicated on the attachment, with an effective date of January 1, 2008, pending the anticipated final approval of Chairman Gonet.  
  • Motion was passed to approve the Charter Street Burying Ground, Gravestone Conservation Project, with the provision that the cost is not to exceed $9,750.00.  

Next Meeting

The next meeting of the Cemetery Commission will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2008.
