Staff SeFebaniorgeant Henry C. Febonio, a native of 60 Winthrop Street, served in the US Army during World War II. He was born on January 11th, 1920. Prior to serving, he worked as a barber. Staff Sergeant Febonio initially enlisted on September 29th, 1942 in Boston. He later served in Camp Campbell, Kentucky at the Prisoner of War camp for German soldiers.

He was later discharged on February 14th, 1946 and passed away on January 31st, 1966. He was the brother of Nemo and John, father to Thomas, and husband to Agnes.

His square was dedicated in his honor on November 11th, 1976 and is located between Winthrop and Margin Streets.
