The memorial adorns the names of neighborhood Salem citizens who served during World War I. It is located at the corner of Jackson Street and Highland Avenue, and was rededicated by the Salem Veterans Council in 2010. The memorial was moved from its original location at the corner of Highland Avenue and Proctor Street that same year.
