Chief Quartermaster Bradstreet Parker, a native of 17 Orne Square, served in the US Navy Aviation Detachment during World War I. He was born on April 13th, 1897 in Salem. Prior to his service, he worked as an advertising manager. He also attended Harvard College. He initially enlisted on June 18th, 1918 and assigned to Aviation Detachment at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Tragically, he died of disease in Brookline on September 21st, 1918. He was the son of George and Grace, brother to Richard and Sally and husband to Ruth Lothrop Mansfield of Boston. A tablet in the chapel of North Church in Salem is dedicated to his memory.

His square is located at the corner of Winthrop and Broad Streets, dedicated in his honor.
