History Alive, Inc Shows

As residents of Old Town Hall for the past 30 years, History Alive has returned with their popular show, Cry Innocent: the People vs. Bridget Bishop. In this show, it's 1692. Bridget Bishop is accused of witchcraft and YOU are the jury. Hear the evidence, cross-examine the witnesses and determine the outcome. The actors respond as Puritans, revealing much about the Puritan mind. Is Bridget Bishop capable of witchcraft? You decide.

New this year, History Alive has also created the immersive experience of No Ghosts at the Old Town Hall, a haunted scavenger hunt/reverse escape room/immersive theatre experience based on all the rumors of hauntings in this cherished 1816 building. Kid conceptualized and kid-friendly, (and more than a bit influenced by the constant parade of ghost tours outside our doors) this show has been centuries in the making. Order & Ostentation, presented by Grace & Diggs

Inspired by the unconventional life of Elizabeth Derby West, who challenged social order with both her actions and her clothing choices, Grace & Diggs explores the connection between defiance and ostentatious dress in this multi-scene photo shoot environment.

From the creator of Miss Havisham’s Parlour, Order & Ostentation is a ticketed, reservation-only photo experience. All reservations must be booked on Eventbrite, by clicking here, or directly with Grace & Diggs and affiliated event partners.
