NOTICE OF MEETING

 

You are hereby notified that the Salem Bicycling Advisory Committee will meet on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at 6:30pm via remote participation.*

 

*This special meeting will be conducted via remote participation with instructions posted to www.salem.com, in accordance with Chapter 40C of the Massachusetts General Laws and Governor Baker’s Emergency Order dated March 12, 2020.

 

Important Announcement:

Pursuant to Governor Baker’s March 12, 2020 Order Suspending Certain Provisions of the Open Meeting Law, G.L. c. 30A, §18, and the Governor’s March 15, 2020 Order imposing strict limitation on the number of people that may gather in one place, this meeting of the City of Salem Bicycling Advisory Committee will be conducted via remote participation to the greatest extent possible. Specific information and the general guidelines for remote participation by members of the public and/or parties with a right and/or requirement to attend this meeting will be posted on the City of Salem website, at https://www.salem.com/home/news/zoom-teleconferencing-tool .

 

No in-person attendance of members of the public will be permitted, but every effort will be made to ensure that the public can adequately access the proceedings in real time, via technological means. In the event that we are unable to do so, despite best efforts, we will post on the City of Salem’s website an audio or video recording, transcript, or other comprehensive record of proceedings as soon as possible after the meeting. Individuals may participate remotely in the meeting in the following manner:

 

Remote Participation Instructions:

Public participation will be conducted via a remote participation platform called Zoom. Members of the public and/or parties with a right and/or requirement to attend this meeting can access the remote meeting through any one of the following ways:

 

  • Follow the Zoom link: https://zoom.us/ and enter meeting ID 816-8613-2222 when prompted.
  • Participants can dial toll-free 877-853-5257 and enter meeting ID 816-8613-2222 when prompted.

The meeting will be opened early at 6:15 pm to allow members of the public to test their audio.

During portions of the meeting in which public comment is permitted, members of the public who have “raised their hand” in Zoom will be called on to offer comment. In order to raise a hand, members of the public using the Zoom computer or phone application may click the “Raise Hand” button; members of the public dialing in may press “*9” to raise their hand to speak.
