Phase 1 – Proposed Canal Street Utility Infrastructure Improvements
Objective | Design, bid, and construct storm drain, wastewater and water utility infrastructure improvements in Canal Street by December 28, 2013. |
Purpose | Complete all subsurface utility work in Canal Street prior to commencement of the Canal Street Roadway Improvement Project (being funded by Transportation Improvement Program Construction Funding (TIP) in FY 2014) to avoid/minimize excavation in Canal Street after resurfacing has been completed. |
Limit of Work | Canal Street – From Jefferson Avenue to Mill Street (approximately 6,800 feet) |
Description of Work | Repair and rehabilitation of the following existing utilities:
Construct a portion of the Canal Street Flood Mitigation proposed storm drain system within the limits of work (approximately 2,100 feet). |
