Event Date:
Tuesday, November 24, 2020 - 8:00am to 3:00pm

The City of Salem will offer free COVID-19 testing for Salem residents only as part of its Salem Coronavirus Awareness Network (SCAN) November 22-24, 2020. This testing is in addition to the ongoing testing available through the state’s “Stop the Spread” program.

SCAN Testing will take place 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on November 22nd, November 23rd, and November 24th at the Salem Willows. Testing from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on November 22nd and November 24th is for Salem residents age 65 and older only.

SCAN Testing is a RT-PCR test via nasal swab, with analysis done by the Broad Institute. Results are returned generally within 24-48 hours from the time of the test. This is a drive-up testing site. Proof of Salem residency is required to receive this testing; however, it is free and no proof of insurance or U.S. citizenship is required. To prove residency, please bring an official government ID or current utility bill showing your name and address. You do not need to be symptomatic to receive this testing. There is no pre-registration for SCAN Testing.
