Captain Frederick Ryan and CIU Officer Jessica Rondinelli are the official LGBTQIA Liaisons here at the Salem Police Department. Through their roles, Captain Ryan and Officer Rondinelli handle cases that involve hate crimes aimed at minorities, such as those within the LGBTQIA community. Additionally, Captain Ryan and Officer Rondinelli serve as the department's liaisons to the Salem No Place for Hate Committee.
The Salem Police Department is dedicated to protecting and ensuring our community's safety and well-being, and we are proud of our Department's work in ensuring the fair and just treatment of all Salem residents, regardless of sexual orientation, gender expression or identity. Captain Ryan and Officer Rondinelli continue to foster our Department's positive relationship with Salem's LGBTQIA community, and will work hand-in-hand with the Mayor's Office and other City departments to properly and effectively address all civil rights issues in the community.
