  3. TRAFFIC AND PARKING DIRECTOR UPDATE
    1. Local Transportation Improvement Plan (LTIP) Project Update The LTIP is a list of transportation projects in Salem at various stages of planning and implementation. The goal of providing this information to the Commission is to identify opportunities for comment and input as early as possible in the development timeline of a project.
    2. 2019 Summary and 2020 Priorities – Director Kucharsky will present to the Commission a summary of 2019 Commission and Department milestones, as well as lead a discussion for 2020 goals and priorities.
  4. NEW/OLD BUSINESS (each item limited to 3 min per person*)
    1. Request for Traffic Ordinance Recommendation
      1. No requests for traffic ordinance recommendations have been submitted at this time.
    2. Washington Street at Lafayette Park – At the request of businesses in the area, staff has examined the existing parking regulations for Washington Street at Lafayette Park, as well as the nearby area. The current signage is not in line with the ordinances, and the businesses in the area have expressed general concern or frustration with parking availability for themselves, employees, and patrons. Staff will present the existing conditions, gather comments from the public and the Commission, and bring a recommendation to the next meeting.
    3. MBTA Bus Stop Signage – The MBTA has requested City comments and proposed additional signage at stops throughout Salem. Staff will present those recommendations to solicit feedback from the Commission to share with the MBTA.
