Company H, 104th Infantry Regiment

On July 25th, 1917, Company H, 8th Infantry Regiment of Salem, Massachusetts officially reported for duty to begin training for the fighting in France. On August 25th, 1917, Company H was assimilated into the 104th Infantry Regiment of the 26th "Yankee" Division. The 104th consisted entirely of Massachusetts men and took part in the campaigns of Chemin-des-Dames, Apremont, Campagne-Marne, Aisne-Marne, St. Mihiel, and Meuse-Argonne. Below are the names of Salem citizens who served with Company H on the Western Front.
