McGlew Park

The park is named for US Marine Corps Corporal Robert McGlew, a Salem native who was tragically killed in the Battle of Iwo Jima. He was posthumously awarded the Purple Heart and his remains are buried in the Punch Bowl Military Cemetery in Honolulu, Hawaii.
