Sylvania World War II Memorial Monument

Located outside of the Bertolon School of Business at Salem State University, the monument is dedicated to eight employees of the old Sylvania plant who lost their lives in World War II: Christ Andrianopolus (US Army), Edward Dumont (US Army), William Herlihy (US Navy), Rene Pelletier (US Army), Roland Caron (US Army), Ralph Fiore (US Marine Corps), Stephen Palmer (US Navy), and Frank Wright (US Army). The Sylvania plant was once located on what is now the campus of Salem State. The monument was refurbished and rededicated in September of 2012.
