Zoning Board of Appeals 

Will hold a public hearing for all persons interested in the petition of PHILIP GILLESPIE for a special permit per Section 3.3.5 Nonconforming Single- and Two-Family Residential Structures of the Salem Zoning Ordinance to expand a nonconforming single-family structure by constructing an 18’ by 51’ one-story addition in the required side-yard setback at 21 CHESTNUT STREET (Map 25, Lot 444) (R1 Zoning District). The public hearing will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 6:30 PM via remote participation with instructions to be posted to the City Calendar and the Board of Appeals page on www.salem.com no later than May 12, 2021, in accordance with Chapter 40A of the Massachusetts General Laws and Governor Baker’s Emergency Order dated March 12, 2020.
