Designing Learning Environments for the Future
We need your help to determine what our schools could and should look like in 10 years?
Have you ever wondered how our students’ physical environment impacts their learning? How do our buildings influence the social and emotional health, physical and psychological safety, and learning habits of our staff, students, and visitors? We have an opportunity right now to DREAM BIG and SHAPE THE FUTURE of our school buildings.
Your input will guide us as we create a plan for the future!
The City of Salem is developing a School Facility Master Plan (SFMP) to modernize, renovate, and reimagine our Salem Public Schools physical buildings and grounds. The SFMP is a long-range, visionary plan for future improvements to our schools that will enhance learning opportunities for Salem students, improving our City for many future generations.
All Salem students, parents, and community members are invited to participate in two community forums, each with multiple opportunities to participate. Come will learn about the challenges and opportunities facing Salem Schools, participate in discussions with fellow stakeholders, and take surveys to share your perspectives and preferences.
Due to COVID concerns, the first round of forums will be held virtually. We hope to return to in-person meetings in February.
