How to Reach Us
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE
JEAN A. LEVESQUE COMMUNITY LIFE CENTER.
The Salem Council on Aging is collaborating with area volunteer agencies and individual volunteers to coordinate grocery or pharmacy pick up for at risk seniors in this time of need.
Council on Aging staff are working to identify seniors who may be in need; those seniors who may be more at risk, have compromised health issues, or who do not have family support available. The "Are You Ok" program is a free program offered to Salem Seniors (age 60 or over), or a person living with a disability. Registered seniors will receive a daily automated phone call to check on the well-being of the participant. Please click this link for information on the Are You OK Program. Are You OK
For additional information or to speak to a social worker, please contact the Council On Aging Social Services Department at 978 744-0924.
A CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS:
To minimize the elder populations’ exposure to the coronavirus, our goal is to secure a volunteer list in order to assist Seniors in need. Volunteers are not expected to pay for items; this would be a pick-up/delivery service. Community members who are interested in helping should call 978-744-0924 or email Teresa Arnold, COA Director at firstname.lastname@example.org.
A CORI check will be required of all volunteers. Click this link for a CORI form - CORI
Please complete the CORI and scan it along with a copy of your license to email@example.com. or drop off the information Monday-Friday between 8am-4pm at the Jean A. Levesque Community Life Center 401 Bridge St. in Salem.
Thank you for your consideration in this time of need. We will compile a list and contact you as needed.
