City of Salem Energy Coach Office Hours

The City of Salem Energy Coach has set up Office Hours for any community members to stop by for any efficiency, energy, or sustainability-related questions you may have, such as:

• Gas or electric bill checkup
• PowerChoice
• Resources available for Income Eligible situations (National Grid R2 discount rate, arrears management, etc.)
• Home Energy Assessments
• Heat Pumps
• Solar panels
• Community Solar
• Appliance upgrades such as induction stoves, heat pump hot water heaters, heat pump dyers, etc.

In addition to these regularly scheduled office hours, you can also call or email the Energy Coach to make an appointment at a time that works better for you:

• National Grid Energy Fair, Monday, March 11^th, 2:00-6:00PM at El Espacio, 105 Congress St. National Grid representatives will be on hand to sign residents up for the R2 discount rate, payment and forgiveness plans, and protection against winter utility shutoff. Representatives from NSCAP, Action Inc., and Salem Pantry will also be on hand.

  • “Downtown Drawdown” FREE Waste Audits for local businesses (3/20 or they can schedule a date)
