Mayor Dominick Pangallo Launches Salem Compass Newsletter

Biweekly publication from the desk of the Mayor will highlight updates and news
Salem Compass Volume 1 Issue 1

Mayor Dominick Pangallo and the Mayor’s Office today released the first issue of the Salem Compass Newsletter.  As the Mayor marks his first 40 days in office, this initial issue of the Salem Compass introduces the Mayor’s Office staff, captures some of what the administration has achieved so far, and shares a calendar of city meetings for the next two weeks.

This first issue of Salem Compass celebrates the recent seasonal opening of the Forest River Pool, and explains Salem’s brand new policy allowing Veterans to park for free in Salem.  It highlights Salem Public Library’s new policy eliminating late fees, as well as announces the expansion of the Bluebikes bikeshare program, and features many other exciting initiatives and events.

“In my inaugural address in May I spoke about “the Salem that’s ahead of us,” said Mayor Pangallo, “It’s a city that, I believe, can both recognize our past and be optimistic about our future, a city that is inspired by our history and motivated by our possibility. I’m honored to have your trust and your partnership to lead this city toward that future, and I always will be, every single day I have the remarkable opportunity to serve as your Mayor.”

The Salem Compass will be published every two weeks.  Sign up to receive the newsletter by e-mail at www.salemma.gov/subscribe, and current and past issues will always be available at www.salemma.gov/salemcompass.
