Notice is hereby given that a meeting of the Salem Traffic & Parking Commission will be held on Thursday, August 19th, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. via remote participation in accordance with Chapter 20 of the Acts of 2021.

Every effort will be made to ensure that the public can adequately access the proceedings in real time, via technological means. In the event that we are unable to do so on matters not requiring a public hearing, we will post on the City of Salem’s website an audio or video recording, transcript, or other comprehensive record of proceedings as soon as possible after the meeting.

Neighborhood Traffic Calming Request: Franklin/Moulton/Orchard/ Osborne – Staff will review with the Commission a traffic calming application that was submitted for this intersection which is adjacent to Furlong Park.

Neighborhood Traffic Calming Request: Conners Road – Staff will review with the Commission a traffic calming application that was submitted for this roadway which is adjacent to Collins Cove Park. 

October 2021 Resident Permit Parking Order Recommendation – Staff is seeking an order recommendation from the Commission designating certain streets eligible for temporary resident permit parking during the month of October.  The list of streets would be in addition to those already designated in Article V-A Section 75A of the City’s Traffic Ordinance.

October 2021 Order Recommendation to Introduce Paid Parking on Canal Street – Staff will discuss with the Commission a recommendation to introduce paid parking along a portion of Canal St from approximately Lyme Street to Pond Street, weekends only during the month of October.
