Albert J. Snell

Albert J. Snell served in the Massachusetts National Guard as a mechanic during World War I. He was born in February of 1885 in Combe, England, yet resided in Massachusetts for seven years prior to serving. Albert initially enlisted on June 19th, 1917. He officially reported for duty on July 25th, 1917 and mustered on August 5th, 1917, assigned to Supply Company, 2nd Field Artillery, 26th Division. He arrived overseas on September 27th, 1917. Tragically, he died from disease in France on December 31st, 1918. He was the son of Mary and brother to William, Walter, Ethel, Mabel, Gertrude, and Florence.
