John E. St. John Jr.

John E. St. John Jr. served in the Massachusetts National Guard during World War I. He was born in July of 1886 in New London, Connecticut. John initially enlisted on June 22^nd, 1916 to Battery D, 1^st Field Artillery where he served on the Mexican border. He officially reported for duty on July 25^th, 1917 and mustered on August 4^th, 1917. He arrived overseas on September 9^th, 1917. Tragically, he died from disease in France on September 27^th, 1918. He was the son of John Sr. and Johanna and brother to Joseph, Arthur, Frank, Emma, and Mary.
