Welcome to Salem! As a part of our community, there are so many wonderful places, activities, and amenities you can enjoy while you're here. Discover just a fraction of what Salem has to offer by taking part in this new give-away.

Snap a photo of yourself doing at least five of the activities listed below and post it to Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter with the hashtag #DiscoverSalem. If you get five of them, fill out the form at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/discoversalem and you'll be entered into a drawing for a number of great prizes, including gift certificates ranging in value from $10 to $25 to Adriatic Restaurant, BonChon, Coffee Time Bake Shop, Curtsy, Flying Saucer Pizza Company, Ledger, Mr. Crepe, New England Dog Biscuit, The Record Exchange, and Red's Sandwich Shop. Be sure you're in the photo! If all five of your posts also tag @DestSalem you'll get one bonus entry in the drawing.   2. Ride the Salem Trolley.
  3. Ride the Salem Ferry.
  4. Play a game on Salem Common.
  5. Take a tour at Pioneer Village or the Witch House.
  6. Walk the South River Salem Harbor Walk.
  7. Shoot hoops at a basketball court in any of our City parks.
  8. Catch a movie at CinemaSalem.
  9. Visit the Witch Trials Memorial.
  10. Stop by Salem City Hall and take a selfie with George Washington.
  11. Take a Zagster bike ride.
  12. Go into the Custom House.
  13. Get an ice cream cone from Captain Dusty’s, Dairy Witch, Hobbs, Maria’s Sweet Somethings, or Melt.
  14. Visit the Salem Farmer’s Market.
  15. Attend an event at the Mayor Jean Levesque Community Life Center.
  16. Visit the Salem Museum at Old Town Hall.
  17. Take a bike ride or walk on the Mayor Anthony Salvo Multi-Use Path.
  18. Take a selfie with the House of the Seven Gables.
  19. Check out an exhibit at PEM.
  20. Get a selfie with a National Park Ranger.
  21. Walk through Greenlawn Cemetery & Arboretum.
  22. Take a selfie with Samantha in Lappin Park.
  23. Stroll through Artists Row.
  24. Hike in Salem Woods.
  25. Go out to Derby Wharf lighthouse.
  26. Play ski ball at Salem Willows.
  27. Take a walk on the pier at Salem Wharf on Blaney Street or the pier at Remond Park off Bridge Street.
  28. Bike out to Waikiki Beach or take the walking trail at Winter Island Park.
  29. Check out the Punto Urban Art Museum.
  30. Take a selfie with Nathaniel Hawthorne on Hawthorne Boulevard.
